4. Is the access secure?

Pacific National Bank has taken strong measures to keep your assets safe and your account information private. We use layers of security to protect your financial data.

Encryption Technology We require the use of a secure browser before a connection can be made to Pacific National Bank’s online banking service. A secure browser will use encryption technology (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) to scramble your information, making it useless to hackers, as it passes across the Internet.

A Firewall of Protection For added security, we have your data pass through a “firewall” which is a computer specifically designed to keep out unauthorized users.

Access Limited by You Finally, to ensure that only you can access your accounts we require a valid Customer Identification Number and PIN (Personal Identification Number) before you can log-on.

Automatic Log-off For your security, our Online Banking Service will automatically end your Internet Banking session if there is no activity on your PC for 3 minutes. Always remember to Log Off or close your browser window.
